"Overseas Study Opportunities for Cambodian Students"

On June 21, 2018 BELTEI International University organized the 1st BELTEI International Collaboration Conference 2018 under the theme "Overseas Study Opportunities for Cambodian Students", which was presided over by H.E. Dr. Touch Visalsok, the under-secretariat of state of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and as the highly representative of H.E. Academician Hang Chounnaron, Mister of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the participation of more than 20 universities from 10 countries in the world Association with various of higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Cambodia. According to the report by H.E. Ly Navuth, Deputy Director General of BELTEI Group and Senior Vice President of BELTEI International University stated that: BELTEI is an acronym consisting of six major subjects, BEL= Business, Economics, Law, and TEI= Tourism, English, Information Technology. BELTEI Group has 3 main services as following: BELTEI Construction 2. BELTEI Tours and Travel 3. BELEI Education (BELTEI International School, BELTEI International University, BELTEI International Relations). BELTEI Group has 2,500 employees and 38, 317 students. BELTEI International School: 21 campuses in which 18 campuses are in operating and 3 campuses are under construction and 37, 000 students are studying. BELTEI International University: There is one campus located at Building 21, Street 360, Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang III, Khan Chamkarmorn, and has 6 main majors: 1- Business Administration 2- Education, Arts and Humanities 3. Law & Social Sciences 4- Tourism & Hospitality 5- Engineering & Architecture 6- Information Technology and Science. BELTEI International University offers 2 program National Program (Bilingual Language = Khmer and English) and International Program (100% English) BELTEI International Relations: There are three main services: 1- Send students to study abroad 2. Student exchange program 3- internship abroad. H.E. Dr. Ly Chheng, Director-General of BELTEI Group and the president of BELTEI International University said that this is the first BELTEI International Collaboration Conference 2018 (BICC 2018) which BELTEI International University lunched as a founder to organize this conference in the purposes as follows: 1) To foster educational collaboration with public and private partner institutions 2) To promote prestigious partner institutions to all potential high school students in Cambodia 3) To build a networking platform for all institutions during the conference 4) To promote scholarship opportunities to BELTEI high school students 5) To increase the proportion of Cambodian students studying abroad. 6) To enhance institutional reputation in local and international contexts On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Touch Visalsok has also expressed his sincere thanks to H.E. Dr. Ly Chheng, Director-General of BELTEI Group and the president of BELTEI International University who strove to organize such an international conference with the participation of 10 countries around the world which it has promoted our national prestige for being as the founder in this event; he also thanks to the founding members of BELTEI International Collaboration Conference 2018 (BICC2018) and BELTEI International University for their co-organized and coordinated with Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport in preparation of this important event. He added that this is an important topic "Overseas Study Opportunities for Cambodian Students", this was not only the problem for Cambodian students but for the whole world to build a competent human resource with appropriate professional skills, especially in response to the globalization context in the labor market competition. In addition, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Kingdom of Cambodia plays an important role in establishment and development of human resources to increase the economy of the family, society and the country. I strongly hope that every presentation of the speakers in this conference will provide knowledge, ideas and share experiences to all participants. H.E. President also announced the lunching of the 1st BELTEI International Collaboration Conference 2018 under the theme “Overseas Study Opportunities for Cambodian Students.” In the morning of June 22, 2018 which is the closing ceremony of BICC2018, BELTEI International University singed another MoU with Sydney City College of Management, Australia aiming at strengthening collaboration, promoting each other’s potential education of both institutions, exchanging students& study tour and joining research projects. Finally, H.E. President announced the closing of the 1st BELTEI International Collaboration Conference 2018 under the theme “Overseas Study Opportunities for Cambodian Students.”
