Major Overview

The Master of Sustainable Development prepares graduates for positions in organizations working toward a more equitable and sustainable use of wealth and natural resources. The program emphasizes the importance of government agency, private sector and especially civil society actors and institutions, including NGOs, community programs, social movements, coalitions, and faith-based organizations in promoting sustainable development agenda.

Learning Outcomes

Students completing this program will demonstrate:
- an advanced understanding of theories and approaches to development;
- key knowledge in community empowerment, monitoring and evaluation, policy analysis, advocacy and training, economic development, program planning, and proposal writing;
- analytical and hands-on skills of highly effective development practitioners;
- an ability in writing project proposal, doing monitoring and evaluation, policy analysis, advocacy and training, economic development, program planning;
- an ability in implementing community empowerment project.
- an intermediate level of research knowledge and skills that enable them to conduct research in their relevant field in Cambodia or beyond;
- a written ability to complete a thesis or a research report.

Career Prospects

It provides training that is appropriate for pursuing a variety of career paths, including monitoring and evaluation, social innovation and management, and policy analysis and advocacy.
