Ceremony of U-13 & U-16 BELTEI Champions Trophy 2019

On the 19th of January, 2019, BELTEI International School held the opening ceremony of the BELTEI CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2019, which consists of 19 teams of U-13 teams and 17 teams of U-16 from 19 campuses of BELTEI International School and students to support over 5,629 people at the National Olympic Stadium which was presided over by H. E. Dr. LY Chheng, member of parliament for Phnom Penh Capital and Director-General of BELTEI Group and Louk Chumteav.

Mr. LY BunChhay, Deputy Director of BELTEI Group and Head of Campus-Directors stated that this year BELTEI CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2019 was set up to respond to the policy of strengthening  in all kinds of sport of the Government with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and in accordance with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports’ curriculum, which integrates the sport into the curriculum throughout the country.

BELTEI International School has introduced four sports programs including:
1. Physical education              for grade 1-6
2. Taekwondo                        for grade 7 & 8
3. Football Futsal (U-13)        for grade 7 & 8
4. Football Futsal (U-16)        for grade 10 & 11

The winner team are divided into 2 teams, U-13 and U-16, will receive the following prizes:
+ The Winner
•    A BELTEI Champion Trophy
•    Gold medal
•    3,000,000 riels
+ Runner-up
•    Silver medal
•    2,000,000 riels
+ Third place winner
•    Bronze medal
•    1,000,000 riels
+  Fair Play Team
•    500,000 riels
The other 28 will also received 200,000 Riels donations from H. E. Dr. LY Chheng.

In that occasion, H. E. Dr. LY CHHENG, member of parliament for Phnom Penh capital, advised all students to work-hard to study at school regularly and to take their leisure time to training in order to strengthen their strength and bring good health as well as increasing their friendship; students learn together and are part of our society and to avoid drug use, because drug causes health hazard, abandoning study, violence, robbery, which causes social insecurity and loss of human resources for national development as well as affecting national economic growth. He also praised the 18 teams who competed in a technical, ethical, fair, and voluntary manner and respected their competitors as the BELTEI Family Character Despite winning or losing. H. E. Dr. rewarded each player in each team's success in the 2019 BELTEI International School Football Tournament.

Afterwards, H. E. Dr. the President of ceremony presented the ball to the referees as a symbol of the opening of U-13 and U-16 football matches.
