BELTEI Co-operates with Camcontrol
Department to educate school food vendors
On the morning of February 11, 2018, BELTEI International School organized "Promotion of Food Safety and Consumer Protection" to 231 School Food Dealers at BELTEI International School, campus 18 (Phsar Prek Eng) presided over by H. E. LY Chheng, Director General of BELTEI Group and the President of BELTEI International University and H. E. Kim Meassokseyha, Deputy Director of Camcontrol, Ministry of Commerce. According to Mr. LY Bunchhay, Deputy Director General of BELTEI Group and Head of Campus-Directors, BELTEI International School has expended its scopes to 21 campuses, which 18 campuses are in operation and 3 campuses are under construction, which are BELTEI IS 19 (Phsar Prek Leab), BELTEI IS 20 (Tor II Krong Kompong Som), and BELTEI IS 21 (National Road N0 3) with a staff of 1,977 staff, teachers and teachers, and more than 37,000 students and 72 food vendors equal to 231. Mr. LY Bunchhay added, with the high attention of management team, especially H.E. Director-General of BELTEI Group on the health and well-being of staff and students who are “Bamboo shoot” along with the wisdom of BELTEI Group said “Staff’s health is the Wealth of the Firm” but “Student’s health is the Wealth of the Nation.” Those are the reason of cooperation with Camcontrol Department of Ministry of Commerce in order to organize this program. H.E. Kim Measokseyha, Deputy Director of Camcontrol said, the key to food safety is: 1- Examination of packing tackles (keep in good shape, non-friable, not bulky, rusty, inexpensive and not torn.) 2- Check the production date and expire. 3- Awareness of chemicals in food. 4- The health impact of health care (food safety) in daily life is one of the top 12 priorities in the national development strategy of the Royal Government like a slogan says, "Learn to be smart, safe, and live good." In that occasion, H.E. LY Chheng, Director-General of BELTEI Group thanks to H. E. Kim Meassokseyha for taking the opportunity to come and explain the food safety right now. H. E. LY Chheng has advised vendors to prepare clean and sanitary facilities and not to sell leftovers, spoiled or overdue food that are either too weak or too strong to cause death and lead to the loss of human resources for national development and the impact of national economic growth. |
