Students Received "Education of the Dangers of Drugs"
In the afternoon of December 21, 2017, BELTEI International School has organized additional courses on "Education for the danger of illegal drug use" to 1532 grade 11 students from 18 campuses was presented by Lieutenant General NEAK Yuthyea, Deputy Secretary General of the National Authority for Combating Drugs, presided over Lok Chum Teav Seur Socheata, Under Secretary of State of Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports. According to a report by Mr. BUTH Dimang, General knowledge office manager said, currently BELTEI International School consists of 21 campuses, which are 18 in operations and 3 campuses are under construction, and there are more than 35000 students studying. The has added 8 main extra-curricular courses to the General Education and ESL program such as, 1. Know how Improvement Program, 2. Mental Improvement Program, 3. Field Trip, 4. TV Programs, 5. Writing Competition, 6. Mathematics Competition, 7. BELTEI’s got talent, 8. BELTEI Sports, in this academic year, BELTEI has set the Science Class according to the program STEM (STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from the Ministry of Education, Youths, and Sports, and has set up laboratory for grade 7 to grade 12 on the subjects, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. BELTEI IS has opened the extra training class and special class for students at grade 9 and 10 as well. Lieutenant General NEAK Yuthyea, Deputy Secretary General of the National Authority for Combating Drugs conducted a presentation of 9 important points such as, 1. What is drug? 2. Classification of drugs according to law, 3. Classification of drugs by its influence, 4. The history of drug production, 5. The area of drug product, 6. Transportation and drug trafficking, 7. The effects of drug, 8. Primary treatment, and 9. Access to drug treatment services. In that occasion, Lok Chum Teav Seu Socheata, Under Secretary of State of Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports appreciated to BELTEI International School has organized this program and Lieutenant General NEAK Yuthyea who took the brisk chance to become a trainer now. Lok Chum Teav Seu Socheata advised all students who participated in the program not to use drugs, and avoid drugs because the drug poses a health hazard, abandon the study of violence, robbery, which causes social insecurity and the loss of human resources for national development as well as affecting national economic growth. Lok Chum Teav also wishes you to study hard to increase your knowledge to become a good child, good friend, good student and good citizen, and to be a good bamboo spring for yourself and the future society |
