The 1st English Writing Contest Program
| In the morning of October 31, 2017, BELTEI International School has organized a program called English Writing Contest Program, which is in final round for its first season for students who are in Level 5, 8, 11 and 12 at BELTEI International University. There are 57 students from 17 campuses with the total of 700 participants presided over by Mr. Ly Navuth, Deputy Director-General of BELTEI Group and the Senior Vice president of BELTEI International University. Mr. Chan Tita, ESL office manager said that: Today, ESL office is conducting a program called English Writing Contest Program which is a part of 8 main programs as follows: 1. Know How Improvement Program (The Concepts of Buddhism, Traffic Laws, and Drugs understanding) 2. Mental Improvement Program (Public Speaking Contest: Khmer and English Speaking Contest) 3. Field Trips Program (The Royal Palace, National Museum, and other tourism sites) 4. TV Program (Learning from Khmer-English Songs, watching Folk Tales and other famous spokesmen) 5. Writing Competition Program (Khmer and English) 6. Mathematic Competition Program 7. BELTEI’s Got Talent 8. BELTEI Sports And today English Writing Competition has been processed in two steps: I. Campus Level: All BETLEI International School campuses have organized the competition internally, and a first-place winner of the campus has a privilege to the final round. II. BELTEI Level: A first-place winner of level 5, 8, 11, and 12 from the 17 campuses has to come to compete to be chosen from number 1 to 3, and the winners will be awarded as follows: - 1st Place Winner: One goal medal, one admiration letter, US$300 in cash, and a 100% scholarship for ESL Class for three terms. - 2nd Place Winner: One silver medal, one admiration letter, US$200 in cash, and a 100% scholarship for ESL Class for two terms. - 3rd Place Winner: One bronze medal, one admiration letter, US$100 in cash, and a 100% scholarship for ESL Class for one term. - For level 12 will 100% scholarship to study Bachelor Degree at BELTEI International University as follows: • 1st place winner: 3 years scholarship • 2nd place winner: 2 years scholarship • 3rd place winner: 1 year scholarship And all the winners of level 5, 8, 11, and 12 will be given a three-day and two-night package tour to visit Angkor Wat Temple. Furthermore, teachers are given 50% in cash of the winners and one admiration letter. On this occasion, Mr. Ly Navuth, Deputy director-general of BELTEI Group, expressed his appreciation and congratulated to all winners who have tried hard to compete from their campus until final round. He added that this program is organized in terms of enhancing the quality of Khmer general education to be better in both writing and thinking and giving a chance to students to show can their talents. This program also means to look for the most outstanding and intellectual students through the 5 mottos of BELTEI “Quality, Efficiency, Excellency, Morality, Virtue”. He also appealed to all the students to study hard in order to increase their knowledge and at the end of the level 12 qualified English speaking, listening, reading and writing in order to reach the international Test (TOEFL or IELTS) score of at least 6.5 and up to apply for scholarships to study abroad to become a great leader and a Khmer bamboo shoot for national development in the future. Following Mr. LY Navuth presented the goal medals, silver medals, bronze medals, and other awards to the 12 winners of level 5, 8, 11, and 12. |
