BELTEI International School held
the closing ceremony of "BELTEI Champions Trophy 2017"
| IOn the afternoon of July 22, 2017, BELTEI International School held the closing ceremony of the 2017 BELTEI CHAMPIONS TROPHY, which consists of 16 teams, equal to 208 students from 16 campuses of BELTEI International School. There are more than 4,900 participants at the National Olympic Stadium, under the presidency of His Excellency Sean Borat, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and president of the Cambodian Students Sports Federation. Mr. Ly Bunchhay, Deputy Director-General of BELTEI Group and the Head of Campus- Directors, said that the BELTEI CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2017 is a new program of BELTEI International School designed to respond to policy In strengthening all types of sports of the Royal Government of Cambodia with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and in accordance with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport's curriculum, which integrates the sports into the curriculum throughout the country. Lately, BELTEI International School has already introduced two types of sporting programs: 1- Physical education for grades 1-6 2- Taekwondo for Grades 7-8 What is more, today we have added two more sporting events: 1- Futsal for Grades 10-12 2- Football for Grades 10-12 And continue to organize sports for BELTEI International University students. Here are the prizes for the BELTEI International School Award winners of the 2017: + The Winner • BELTEI International Award • Gold Medals • 3,000,000 Riels + Runners-up • Silver Medals • 2,000,000 Riels + The third winner team • Bronze Medals • 1,000,000 Riels + The fourth winner team • 500,000 Riel Also, the other12 teams won the motivated cash of 300,000 riel. Then, HE LY Chheng, Director-General of BELTEI Group and President of BELTEI International University thanked the presidency of His Excellency for taking the busy opportunity to honor the closing ceremony of the BELTEI International School BELTEI CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2017. His Excellency advised all students to play sport to get a healthy, have a good relationship of peace and unity, as well as to be free from drugs because drugs are dangerous to the health, make you drop out of school, increase violence, theft, and robbery, and cause social insecurity and loss of strength in human resources which is the development of the country. Moreover, drugs cause harm to the national economy growth too. His Excellency also appreciated the players of 16 teams who competed in a technical, ethical, fair, and voluntary manner and respected their competitors as the family friendly match, whether winning or losing is still BELTEI's family. During that occasion, HE Sean Borat also gave a greeting and regards from HE Minister of Education, Youth and Sports to all of the school's leaders, teachers, staff and students. He said that the sport has served the interests of the people and society in general, regardless of race, color, status, role in society, so we all encourage all citizens and students to participate in sports at all levels, as the sport is a service to humanity, which guarantees a fair play in sports. HE Sean Borath added that the development of physical education and sports is a new vision that aims at national sport, leading to modernization for the welfare of all people, and to promote family’s and the entire nation’s economy in line with the policy of reducing poverty of the people. After that, HE presented the medals, awards, and other prizes to the for winning teams. |
