BELTEI Organized the Extra Curriculum Course the
Grade 11 Students to Learn More About "Drug Abuse Awareness"
In the morning of February 04, 2017, BELTEI International School organized programs to learn more "Drug Abuse Awareness" offered to students in grades 11 number 1,566 at the BELTEI International University (Tuol Sleng Campus), which was presided over by Mr. Nak Yuthea, Deputy Secretary General of the National Authority for Combating Drugs. Mr. Buth Dimong, The Academic Manager in charge of Khmer General Education said that BELTEI International school has included 7 main extra curriculum courses for Khmer general education and ESL program as the following: 1. Know how Improvement Program (students study concepts of Buddhism, Traffic Laws, and awareness of drugs) 2. Mental Improvement Program (Focusing on public speaking contests, English speaking contest and public debates) 3. Field Trip Program ( the Royal Palace, national museum, and other tourist destinations) 4. TV Program (Students learn Khmer songs, English songs, folktales, and well-known orator’s perspectives) 5. Writing Competition Program ( Young learners learn how to write paragraphs and adult learners learn how to write compositions) 6. Mathematic Competition Program and 7. Talent Competition Program Mr. Nak Yuthea, the deputy secretary general of the national authority for combating drugs presented 9 key points such as: 1. What is a drug? 2. Type of drug substance 3. Types of drug influence 4. The history of the drug producing 5. Area of drug production 6. Transport and drug traffic 7. The impact of the drug 8. Responding to drug problems and 9. Defending the drug. In the meantime, Mr. LY Bunchhay, Deputy Director-General in charge of BELTEI International School shows his profound thanks to Mr. Nak Yuthea, the deputy secretary general of the national authority for combating drugs to take part in this special event. Mr. LY Bunchhay introduced to all students to participate in this program not to abuse drug and must be free from drugs because drugs lead to endanger the health, give up studies, have violence, theft, robbery, causing social security and losing strength human resources development in the country, as well as causing hurt economic growth. He also reminds all the students to keep working hard to sharpen and improve their knowledge and become bamboo-shoots to take place of bamboo trees which help develop our nation in the future |
