Awarding Ceremony of ESL Level 6 Students

On the morning of September 17, 2016, BELTEI International School organized the certificate awarding ceremony to 820 level 12 students at BELTEI International University, Campus 1 (Tuol Sleng), under the high presidency of H.E. LY Chheng, Director-General of BELTEI Group and President of BELTEI International University and Lok Chumteav.
According to the report by Mr. LY Bunchhay, Deputy Director-General of BELTEI Group, the total of 40 batches of level 12 students is 4, 669. In the academic year 2016-2017, there are 31, 999 students studying at BELTEI International School and in the academic year 2015-2016, there were 1, 154 students taking the high school exam, 864 passed (83.53%) including grade A: 20, grade B: 86, grade C: 151, grade D: 191 and grade E: 516. BELTEI International School adds Seven main extra-curricular courses to the General Education and ESL programs:     1. Know how Improvement Program 2. Mental Improvement Program 3. Field Trip 4. TV Programs 5. Writing Competition 6. Mathematics Competition  7. BELTEI Got Talent
1.Know how Improvement Program is a program that the General Education students learn from the guest speakers invited from other departments and institutions and it mainly focuses on:

- Concepts of Buddhism for Grade 9
- Food safety and Traffic Law for Grade 10
- Understanding of Drugs and HIV for Grade 11 and   
- Anti-Corruption Law and the Roles of Youths in Society for Grade 12   

2. Mental Improvement Program is the program created to help the General Education and ESL students improve their Public Speaking. 

3. Field Trip:    BELTEI International School organizes Field Trips for both General Education and ESL Classes as follows:

- Grade 4 & 5 and Level 4&5 visit the Royal Palace
- Grade 6 and Level 6 visit the National Museum
- Grade 7 and Level 7 visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum
- Grade 8 and Level 8 visit Cheung Ek Genocidal Center
- Grade 9 and Level 9 visit the National Museum and Tamao Mountain
- Grade 10 and Level 10 visit the Royal Palace and Oudong Mountain
- Grade 11 and Level 11 visit the National Museum and Santuk Mountain
- Grade 12 and Level 12 visit Cheung Ek Genocidal Center and Sambo Preykok Temple
4.TV Programs  are designed for General Education and ESL classes as follows:
- Songs and Folktales for General Education (Grade 1-6)
- English songs for Preschools
- Folktales for Level 1-6
- Songs and Conversation for Level 7-9
- TED Talks for Level 10- 12
5.Writing Competition:  making student good at writing from the lower levels to high levels.
6.Mathematics Competition: making students fast in calculating the number with accurate solution.
7.BELTEI Got Talent:  giving students chance and encourage them to show their talent

Meanwhile, H.E. LY Chheng praised all the students for such a working hard at school, well respecting the Students’ Internal Rules, being well-disciplined and not causing their families and society problems that they graduate. H.E. LY Chheng also praised  Kaing Sinhly, a student at     BELTEI International School, campus 5, who got the first Grade A (100.00 score) among 405 grade A students. Adding that the achievement and rapid growth of BELTEI Group from one year to one year are resulted from the full support of the students’ parents and guardians, students, institutions, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, local authorities. He also told all the students to try their best to study to enlarge their knowledge. When finishing their Level 12, they had to be able to speak, listen, read and write to reach 6.5 in overall band of IELTS or ToEFL test, which was the bridge to apply for scholarships abroad, to become good leaders and to be bamboo becoming bamboo shoot in developing the country.
Finally, Excellency President and Lok Chumteav congratulated the 820 level 12 graduates and presented the certificates to them.
