1,608 Grade 9 Students Attend Know
How Improvement Program "The Concept of Buddhism"
On March 23, 2016, BELTEI International School organized an extra curricular course on the theme “The Concept of Budhhism” at the Conference Hall of BELTEI International School, Campus 9 (Stung Meanchey), for 1,608 grade 9 students from the 15 campuses of BELTEI International School, which was attended by Preah Moha Pen Vibol, Chief of Printing and Educational Support Association and a Budhhist speaker. H.E LY Chheng, Director General of BELTEI Group and President of BELTEI International University said so far BELTEI International School had organized five extra curricular courses for General Education and ESL students: 1.Know How Improvement Program ( A. The Concept of Budhhism for grade 9, B. Food Safety and Traffic Law for grade 10, C. Understanding Drugs and HIV for grade 11, D. Anti-Corruption Law and the roles of youths in society for grade 12) 2.Mental Improvement Program (Public Speaking Contest Program, English Speaking Contest Program and Debate Program) 3.Field Trip (visiting the historical sites and resorts inbound and outbound) 4.TV Program (studying both English and Khmer songs, Folktales and TED Talk program) 5.Writing Contest ( making students good at writing paragraphs and essays) Meanwhile, Preah Moha Pen Vibol said that at the invitation of H.E LY Chheng, Director General of BELTEI Group, H.E Minister of Ministry of Cult and Religion assigned him to be a Budhhist speaker to deliver a sermon to BELTEI International School students to understand the Buddhism dharma and promote the value of Buddhism, which is the state religion, and to cause students to absorb the Budhha’s advice on good deed, bad deed, misdeed, especially; to strengthen morality, manner and conduct in the society in order to avoid from using drugs, to prevent domestic violence, misconduct, Sex abuse, and to understand health care, AIDS, traffic accidents and misbehaved children, especially; to make youth and children well behave and try to study hard to be a bamboo-shoot growing up to be bamboo of the nation in the future. |
