BELTEI Awards High School Diplomas

to 864 Grade 12 Students From Batch 10

Form the 2014-2015 Academic Year

celebrated the High School Diploma Awarding Ceremony to 864 students from Batch 10 that graduated and passed the National Exam during the 2014-2015 Academic Year.  The ceremony was held at BELTEI INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY (Campus Tuol Sleng) led by the distinguished H.E. LY Chheng, Director-General of BELTEI Group and President of BELTEI International University, and Lok Chumteav.
Mr. LY Bunchhay, Deputy Director-General of BELTEI Group in charge of BELTEI International School, stated that there are 1,175 grade 12 students enrolled in the current academic years 2015-2016. During the recent Grade 12 National Exams, 1,102 BELTEI students participated, and 864 students passed, which is equivalent to 78.40%.  Moreover, among those passing students, 6 students earned grades of "A"; 32 students earned grades of "B"; 94 students received grades of "C"; 138 students received grades of "D"; 594 students received grades of "E".  Additionally, 7 students passed City-Level and 2 students passed Country-Level Grade 9 Outstanding Student Competition in Khmer Literature.  From 2005 to 2014, records indicate that 4,904 students consisting of 9 batches completed Grade 12 National Exams, of which 4,558 students passed resulting in a 92.95% pass-rate. Looking forward, the school will strengthen its quality ensuring that a minimum of 80%, but projecting a 90% or better pass-rate for Grade 12 students taking the National Exam.  Also, ESL students finishing level 12 must earn a minimum of 5.5 (score) for international tests such as TOEFL and IELTS.
During the occasion, H.E. LY Chheng expressed his appreciation for students that tried their utmost to study often and regularly follow school regulations while maintaining good morality and discipline, but never causing difficulties within their families or society; thus, demonstrating their commitment to earn their certificates.  H.E. also thanked students’ parents or guardians who closely cooperated with BELTEI campus management teams, which has been successful and beneficial for all stakeholders.  H.E. recommended that the improved cooperation continue in the future.  "The achievements and growth of BELTEI Group from year to year is attributable to the active support received from Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport along with support from local authorities, as well as students' parents or guardians” H.E. said amidst the audience.  "More importantly, everyone benefits from the appropriate policies provided by the Royal Government of Cambodia, which brings peace, political stability and development in all sectors throughout the country".  H.E. LY Chheng advised the graduates to utilize their abilities to go further and seek higher education at institutions such as our Modern BELTEI International University, which require a higher level of commitment, in order to advance their education and self-knowledge in challenging local and international job markets.  H.E. LY Chheng then congratulated and presented the diplomas to the 864 graduates.
