11, 797 BELTEI General Education Students
from Grades 4-12 conducted a Field Trip
to four locations throughout Phnom Penh
BELTEI International School organized a Field Trip during the month of June for 11,797 (Eleven thousand seven hundred ninety seven) students from grades 4 to 12 to some significant historical sites such as: - Students of grades 4, 5, and 10 visited the Royal Palace - Students of grades 6 and 9 visited the National Museum - Students of grades 7 and 11 visited the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum - Students of grades 8 and 12 visited the Killing Field Choeng Ek This Field Trip is a component of the extracurricular courses offered by BELTEI International School. It is organized for students who are Khmer next generation youths in order for them to: better appreciate their motherland; be united as one regardless of any circumstances; be aware of the history, culture, and the celebrated Khmer civilization during the Angkor period along with other periods throughout history. Students will know the bitter history experienced by the Cambodian people for the duration of the Khmer Rouge regime, which was the dark era that nearly destroyed the country and killed millions of Khmer people. After finishing the Field Trip, the school requires students to compose a written report in order to further strengthen and increase their knowledge resulting in continued quality education in accordance with the motto of BELTEI International School. |
