BELTEI’s students participate in World Camp 2012 in South Korea
On June 24, 2012, BELTEI Management Teams and 103 students of BELTEI International Institute departed from Phnom Penh International Airport to participate in World Camp 2012 for 20 days in South Korea. There will be more than 3000 youths, who come from 60 different countries around the world, and there will also be Ministers from the Ministry of Education from 20 other countries around the world participating in this World Camp. On that occasion, His Excellency Ly Chheng, Director-General of BELTEI Group stated that BELTEI Group has signed an MOU with the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) located in South Korea to aim to choose and send students who are studying at BELTEI International Institute to participate in other international programs, which have been organized by International Youth Fellowship such as World Camp 2012 and Study Tour in other countries around the world so that our students may gain knowledge and exchange new experiences related to living, traditions, customs, cultures, literatures, and mind-training for maintaining a humble and open heart by avoiding conflict, and for living with other races as well as to manage themselves with self-control. On the other hand, our students have opportunities to practise English better than before; they will understand about modern technologies, and they will participate in other international affairs, in order to have some interests in families and for self-development with courage and enough abilities for becoming good youths for the society and virtue leaders in the future. His Excellency also added that: in order to make our students have broad abilities, knowledge and know-how inside and outside school; the institute has organized our students to go for study tour in some historical sites such as Royal Palace, National Museum, Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, and Choeung Ek, Center of Genocide Crimes. 1000 grade 12 students to go to listen to Top Khmer Rouge leaders' trial in Democratic Kampuchea regime in Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia such as Kaing Guek Eav alias Duch, Noun Chea, Ieng Sary, Ieng Thirith, and Khieu Samphan, and we also allow our students to participate in other programs such as Education Fair, Souvenir-Anniversary, and other programs for basic analysis and research for good and bad points, strengths and weaknesses, so that they can develop themselves for the future. |
