Are you looking to serve your community on a greater scale? Are you ready to make strategic decisions, create public policy and implement important government programs? To help you answer the call of leadership in public service, BELTEI IU offers the Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) degree program to help you develop the knowledge and skills necessary to create and implement public policy. The rigorous curriculum focuses on an entrepreneurial approach to issues and opportunities at the state and local government levels, and goes beyond theory to provide real-world insight developed and taught by experienced professors and seminars by key government experts and leaders.

Learning Outcomes

Students completing this program will demonstrate:
- a good command of knowledge in Cambodian public policy, fundamental concept of policy process, fundamentals of government organization, and systematic investigation of executive organization and management;
- a refined understanding of entrepreneurial approach to issues and opportunities at the state and local government levels;
- an ability to develop the managerial skills necessary to manage in the public sector;
- an ability to advocate with key stakeholders to adapt the proposed agenda;
- an ability in identifying the most pressing public issues to be addressed;
- an intermediate level of research knowledge and skills that enable them to conduct research in their relevant field in Cambodia or beyond;
- a written ability to complete a thesis or a research report.

Career Prospects

The MPPA program is a professional degree for the public sector and it prepares individuals to serve as managers in the executive arm of national, sub-national and local government, and increasingly in nongovernmental organization (NGO) and nonprofit sectors. The specific job title includes general operations manager, social and community service manager, compliance manager, compliance coordinator, and regulatory affairs manager.
