Signing Ceremony of The Launch of ICDL and Password

Accredited Test Center at BELTEI International Institute

On November 13, 2009 at BELTEI International Institute, there was a signing Ceremony of The Launch of ICDL and Password Accredited Test of English. H.E. Ly Chheng, Director General of BELTEI Group and Director of BELTEI International Institute, said that International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) was an international institution which provided the international standard for computer literacy and Password was also an international institution providing the service on testing the English proficiency. Adding that the main reason why BELTEI International Institute cooperated with the international institution on ICDL and Password was that in the era of the globalization, it required us to get computer literacy and English proficiency, which was internationally recognized. H.E. Ly Chheng said in Cambodia, meanwhile, there were a lot schools providing training in English Language and computer and if it was focused on quality and recognition, they were locally accepted. However, he wanted the quality education and the accreditation of the two skills above to be broadened. That is to get the international accreditation. For the above reason and having known that ICDL and Password are the internationally-accredited bodies specializing in Computer Training and English Language testing, we decided to cooperate with them for the two main purposes:

1. To provide computer skills training and testing with international standard and accreditation
2. To provide English skills training and testing with international standard and accreditation. Adding that BELTEI International Institute have been providing three services of international tests. 1) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is the test which evaluates the ability of an individual to use and understand English in an academic setting for higher education in the United States. 2) Password is test which measures English language knowledge and used to understand English in an academic setting for higher education in the United Kingdom (UK). Password tests offer a more reliable and equitable solution. Password tests also ensure accurate and reliable results. 3) International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) is the international standard for computer literacy. ICDL is not a course, but a standard in basic computer competence, which is achieved through testing. It provides a performance benchmark for all employers.

In addition to the tests above, BELTEI International Institute was accredited to send students to study abroad. Besides, BELTEI’s students who successfully completed the Foundation Year or Year 1 will be able to continue their studies in Year 2 at Regent's College, London of the United Kingdom (UK).

Finally, H.E. Ly Chheng said that BELTEI International Institute has always tried its best to promote its personal education by reforming constantly, which adheres to its mottoes: quality, efficiency, excellence and morality.
